Week 3 Finds its King
Before going over all the games and what not, I wanted to talk about the casting for AJL. The casters for the first two weeks have decided they can no longer cast for our league due to scheduling conflicts. So starting from here on out, we will be having ERG Sunshine and RalphsSaints as our new head casters. So far they have done a phenomenal job with great analysis, awesome word play, and never leaving a dull moment(except in those pesky pauses). They have been getting great reviews from our community.
The next thing I wanted to go over is Saturdays games and the new upcoming Team Insight 2.0 who rolled in there debut day on Saturday. With a brand new roster and only returning TSM Gold, Insight made a statement to say they are here to compete with the best AJL has to offer. They finished 2-0 entering into Sunday with an average of 25.5 minute finish time per game. They are definitely showing that they are a top 4 team.
Also, the game of the week ended with a win for Limitless. Totality had an early lead but squandered it with bad team fight decisions and macro game. Limitless showed that their macro game was just as strong as their players when they ended the game in less than 30 minutes despite not jumping out ahead in the beginning. As of this weekend, Limitless is the current King of the AJL.
Sunday Showed a match up between Solo Queue Heroes and XKT. XKT was harboring a no win record and couldn't get their team synergy down while SQH beat Totality but suffered their only loss to Limitless. This game proved to be a nail biter with both teams having the opportunity to win. XKT fielded a strong team comp against SQH and ultimately took away their first win of the league. XKT had been under performing after a promising preseason start. It looks like now that they are building less of a solo queue comp and more into team comps with clear win conditions. I'm looking forward to seeing how they develop now that they are on the right track.
The final game I wanted to talk about is a match up between the envious Totality Titans and Team Insight who's riding a strong momentum wave before this clash. The match started in favor of Team Insight with the first blood but the fight was far from over. Team Insight and Totality went blow for blow(I love Rocky references) up to 23 minutes until finally the TItans took the lead and kept it. Their team comp looked superior and the team play was very strong. The battle of the second best was decided for now. But there are plenty of games left for the league. There is a new enemy approaching.....
